Q1: Will the delivery driver spread the material?
A1: The driver can perform a tailgate spread upon request
and will do their best to distribute the material evenly.
However, you will be responsible for any final adjustments
to ensure the project meets your expectations.
Q2: Can I pick up material myself?
A2: Yes, we load materials into dump trucks and trailers
using a large loader. Please note that we do not load
pickup trucks, but you are welcome to hand-load them
yourself. Large boulders are loaded with an excavator.
Be sure to bring the proper equipment to secure your
load, such as tarps and tie-down straps. A minimum fee
of $35 per load applies.
Q3: Where do I go to pick up material?
A3: We have multiple mines located throughout Grays Harbor,
Mason and Pacific Counties. Some are open daily while
others are open on demand. Visit our "Pit Locations" page
for the most up-to-date operation hours by site.
Q4: Do I need an appointment to pick up material?
A4: No, an appointment is not necessary unless you're
picking up large boulders (Two-Man Rock and larger).
For these, please give us minimum 2-3 days' notice to
ensure the boulders are readily available.
Q5: What is the latest I can arrive before closing to ensure a loader is available?
A5: In general, each location is open from 7 AM - 3 PM,
weekdays only. Our main office is located at the
Newskah Quarry in Aberdeen and is open 8 AM - 4 PM,
weekdays only. When you are picking up material,
please be at the site no later than 2:30 PM. This
will ensure that you have enough time to get loaded
and scale out before closing.
